Having the right mindset is a little ambiguous, I know. What does that MEAN, exactly? Well, it’s a little like belief – you don’t really know how to put your finger on it until you have it. You can say you have it, but until you really do, you really don’t know it. Your mindset is the same, but is actually a little more tangible than that.
One thing than many network marketers struggle with, because most of us are extremely giving, philanthropic people, is that they are worth making a lot of money, and even more, that money actually IS important! One of the most moving quotes I heard all weekend was, “Your poverty isn’t serving anyone.” WOW. Think about that for a minute – is it really so noble to be dirt poor? Who can you truly help with no means to help them?
This is a mindset that SO many of us struggle with – either that “Money is the Root of All Evil,” “Money doesn’t grow on trees,” money isn’t important, or that money doesn’t buy you happiness (which is partly true). If you consistently believe in all these statements, you will NEVER have the prosperity in your life that you want. Your thoughts and actions will always be limiting, because you cannot consciously do what your subconscious does not believe in.
Money does not buy you happiness, that is true – to a certain extent. You have to find happiness within yourself – and this comes from developing yourself emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically. Aside from that, money DOES buy experiences that create happiness. You don’t buy a car because you like the metal and rubber, you buy a specific car because you like they way it makes you feel when you drive it, or how people look at you when you show up in it. It’s the EXPERIENCE.
So the bottom line is, you need to change your mindset and belief, and your work ethic will follow. This was the NO EXCUSES Summit; we attended because we made No Excuses – now you have No Excuses to forge a change in yourself and start really building your business!
